Val

Val was the last haircut of the day. She came in with a knit hat on her head, ashamed of what her hair looked like. Rose and I gently cut away hair that had been causing migraines for months.

This was the first time either of us had encountered a situation like this. Val kept apologizing throughout the process, but in the end, the transformation was incredible. She left feeling lighter, freer, and full of hope.

I look forward to being a part of her journey for a long time.
