Transformations

One of our favorite things is to witness the smiles, and sometimes tears of happiness, when we have a transformation of a client. Some have not had haircuts in years. Many sit in our chairs, apologizing for the condition their hair is in. The goal is to provide hope, a little extra confidence and the knowledge that they are loved. Being part of their life in a positive way is exactly why we do what we do.

Val

Val was the last haircut of the day. She came in with a knit hat on her head, ashamed of what her hair looked like. Rose and I gently cut away hair that had been causing migraines for months. This was the first time Rose or I had ever encountered this situation. She continually apologized, but in the end, the transformation was huge. I look forward to being a part of this woman’s life for a long time.

Val is homeless. She wears a knit hat 24 hours a day to stay warm. The matting is causing migraines.

Rose and I worked for a while on each side. The density was nothing like I’d ever seen.

A haircut can change so much. She was so embarrassed when she sat down.
