Cuts 4 Christ is a mobile salon ministry serving the unhoused and less fortunate. In the summer of 2023, Virginia Oakes was asked to lead the haircutting station for the Day of Joy event. In just four hours, the team provided 70 haircuts. Seeing firsthand the impact a simple haircut could have, Virginia was inspired to create a ministry dedicated to meeting this essential need.
Today, barbers, hairstylists, and volunteers have joined together to provide haircuts, hygiene products, clothing, and more—offering dignity, confidence, and hope to those in need. This ministry is guided by its mission to be the Hands and Feet of Christ, bringing love and compassion wherever they go.
In its first year and a half, Cuts 4 Christ has grown beyond haircuts. These are some of the things we need donations for so we can keep helping:

We distribute hygiene products to help maintain cleanliness and dignity.

Our compact hygiene kits are portable and designed for those living outdoors.

Larger hygiene bags are provided to shelters and encampments for better support.

We collect clothing donations to help those in need stay warm and comfortable.

Our dedicated volunteers work behind the scenes to ensure hygiene kits are ready.

One of our enthusiastic participants jumped in to help prepare supplies after a haircut.

We provide Bibles and inspirational books to offer spiritual encouragement.
How You Can Help
Cuts For Christ is fully run on donations. We are a 501 C3 nonprofit charitable organization. Though haircuts are our main goal, we give out hygiene, Bibles, clothing, blankets and even at times food.
Cuts For Christ owns a trailer that is converted into a hair washing station. This is the first of many mobile hair washing stations we want to use at places where water may not always be available. We are asking that you consider helping us be the hands and feet of Christ. A donation of any amount will further this ministry.

Hygiene Items
Donate personal hygiene items like soap, towels, deodorant, shampoo, nail polish, feminine care products, shaving creme, and more to support personal well being.
Bibles / Prayer
Providing Bibles and Christian literature is a way that Cuts4Christ volunteers can share their faith and offer support. For many, accessing spiritual resources might be challenging due to life circumstances. Distributing these materials could serve as a source of hope, comfort, and inspiration.
