Val’s Story

Ellsworth Outreach

Val was the last haircut of the day. She walked in wearing a knit hat, quietly ashamed of what her hair looked like beneath it.

As the team gently worked through hair that had been causing her migraines for months, they encountered a situation unlike any they had seen before. Throughout the process, Val kept apologizing — but there was nothing to apologize for.

What unfolded was more than a haircut. It was relief. It was restoration.

By the end, the transformation was incredible. She left feeling lighter, freer, and full of hope.
